Moss is experiencing significant growth, amid substantial population increases and an important transformation of central and older urban areas. The development of Verket occupies a unique position, with its high density and proximity to the historic city center.

It is important that everyone has the opportunity to live in the city. We aim to establish guidelines for a diverse building stock within the development area, considering size, character, and user groups. This, in turn, allows flexibility in ownership models and the possibility to develop housing across all price ranges, fostering a diverse mix of residents in the area.

What makes Verket an attractive place?

Verket enjoys a unique location between the fjord, the natural areas around Vansjø, and the river to the south. The proposal strengthens connections to these diverse natural qualities and leverages them to create meeting places and experiences along the way.

A good city is a vibrant city. The combination of an ideal location and a focus on creating active public spaces supports the strengthening of Moss city center. Verket incorporates all the traditional elements—residential, commercial, and retail—to recreate the classic 24-hour city.
